Welcome to Right I'm Off, a website about travelling and backpacking. I put this site together because I was fed up with looking for stuff about travelling on the web and running into large corporations trying to sel me expensive gear and tours I have no need for, or getting supposed advice from people who obviously travel in a very different way to me.
This site's about the realities of budget travelling, whether you live (or are about to try living) out of a backpack, a transit van or a boat. Well that’s the idea, anyway; I'm bound to get it wrong but that’s where we hope you lot can help out. I'm gonna get some forums up (once I work out how to), and hopefully get some advice written from travellers of all different kinds (my mates).
Stick this site in your bookmarks list and watch it develop. If nothing else it’ll give you something to stare at when you’re sitting in an internet cafe trying to ignore the twat on the computer next to you who’s using Skype and thinking they have to shout to make it work.
Please do link to this page if you have a site that's anything to do with travelling or backpacking, or even just ways to live on a budget. The links page link is also in that menu at the top of this page.
This site will be updated as often as possible, which is often (I own a laptop and few responsibilities), so keep checking back. Please. I'm away in India backpacking at the moment, so expect lots on that. Hippies, backpackers, crusties, budget travellers, GAP students: your time is now. Click buttons and make it work. You know you want to. Look, there's links up there on the left. Follow them like a rug-seller follows a tourist with untanned skin and a camera. Yes, you like. Ruggy ruggy. Very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
